If you missed the rather lengthy opening presentation at Apple's World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC) in San Fransisco this week, you may have noticed a buzz among music making sites regarding the mention of "Inter-app audio" listed in the forthcoming features to iOS 6. Few (if any) sites have picked up on "Multi-Route Audio", so perhaps it is wishful thinking on my part but here's hoping that this means stereo cueing and stereo master output on one iOS device! There's a brief article on DigitalDJTips.
Fingers-crossed until "the Fall" (whenever that is!).
Review & Video: Algoriddim’s Vjay For iPad
If you haven't heard already, Algoriddim have released a brand new app to the store, bringing video capabilities to a DJ style setup. I wrote a review which is on DigitalDJTips, featuring a demo video that I put together using the in-app recording feature on the iPad. A note to mention here is that I'm not a VJ, my background is in music mostly...so apologies for bad VJ skills! Also, I wanted to do exactly what most others would do, which is chuck together a mix immediately, without the use of stereo splitter cable or a USB MIDI controller. The result is here;
